About

London City Runners was born in 2010, when a small group of runners left their bags in Tim’s flat and headed out on the same Tuesday route we do today. Fast forward to 2018, City Runners has helped over 8000 runners reach their goals and along the way, countless friendships have been fostered, as well as 9 marriages, 3 babies, and counting! We’re the largest running club in London that is completely free and not affiliated with a retailer, and we pride ourselves on being a force for good in our local community. Everyone is welcome through our doors, from absolute beginners to seasoned marathoners. Check out our website for all of our amazing programmes, events and socials that will help you reach your running goals while having loads of fun with like-minded people! Come join us to see what all the fuss is about!

Meet Your Blogger!

Hi guys, I’m Natascha – your resident blogger-in-chief! I abandoned sunny California for London in October 2016 and have been a proud member of London City Runners ever since. Although I’m partial to a speedy 10K, I’ve got four half marathons and one full marathon under my belt. Unsatisfied with the results of my first (and rather hilly) marathon, I’m giving it another shot at the 2018 Berlin marathon – despite swearing up and down I’d never do this again! Follow me on the possible path to addiction….

Meet Your Club Leaders!

Hi, I’m Tim. My Dad was a marathon runner way back in the 70s (a long time before it was fashionable!) and running has been a big part of my life since I was a child. At school I ran in the nationals for cross country and athletics. At University I was a keen triathlete then after graduation I got a taste for marathons and have had the bug ever since! In May 2010 I set up London City Runners and it’s been a been a great pleasure getting hundreds and thousands of people to enjoy the natural buzz that running brings through running with the club.

Hi, I’m Kerry. I wasn’t into sports when I was younger, but I took up running a few years ago through attending my local ParkRun. I joined London City Runners when I wanted to train further, and I did my first half and first full marathon with the club in 2016. I love the social focus of this club, and helping to get more and more people just like me to discover running and all the benefits it brings. When I’m not busy running the club with Tim, I work in cancer research.
